ok guys, i have a JRSC setup that i was running 11 lbs of boost with an air to liquid intercooler i made. my best time with that setup was 12.1 @ 112mph.
the intercooler worked perfectly, but i had issues with my alternator, so the intercooler had to be removed.
upon removal of the intercooler, i decided to up the boost, lower timing slightly, and add fuel.
HOLY FUGGIN SHEET !!!
it feels like the car is faster now at 15 lbs of un-intercooled boost opposed to 11 lbs of intercooled. the car pulls hard as nuts throughout the powerband, from like 2000 up to 8000.
man, i cant wait to see wut this sum bitch will do now!!!!!!!!

by the way, this is all on a stock motor, b18c1, with over 130,000 miles on it.

LMAO! I love this.......however i cant help but feel like your somewhat rubbing it in our faces!! LOL!
Good work man.......i guess im just old school, but the intercooler on a JRSC idea just doesnt add up to me anyway. O well, i could be wrong, been wrong many times before so it wouldnt be a first.

Must be nice to have a car you can beat the hell out of and not worry about how you are getting to work/school the next day.
I need to graduate damned it and get myself a beater...

Didn't the blower leak before at 16 psi????? Are you planning to re-install the intercooler later?

so now your running 15psi with just a normal JRSC setup? Isn't that asking for problems? Acutally thats not a question its a statement. The rotors in the blower are made under certain heat and rpm tolerances and going to like 15psi or above 10psi for that matter just kills the blower. Also the blow by in the engine will kill the blower since all the metal shavings and oil will get inside the blower case and eat away at the rotors edges and walls of the casing. What will end up happening is that the blower will just start to leak and kill itself. Also the blower is inefficient above 10psi. For dragging I guess it will be ok, but on the track that baby will blow up. Trust me on it. I wish I had some video's of cars that have proven this with the JRSC.
People always say that the engine limits boost when thats totally untrue. Its the blower/heat which limits boost. You can always tune a engine about boost, however you can't ever make the blower like the boost unless you take the main problem from it which is heat. If I were you I would just put nitrous on that setup and lower the boost some to allow it. Since running such high boost you limit the car to only very very short boosting distances, so you might as well just put nitrous on the car and make the setup more efficient and powerfull with a short distance setup. Just my thoughts though.

Hmmmm.
That's interesting that you are having good luck with the JRSC @ 15lbs. We experimented with mine running 16-17lbs via stepper pulley and 3.2" blower pulley and ran into tons of driveability issues. The car actually gained power by lowering boost back to 11lbs. And this is with the ENDYN "modifications".
Hmmm. Maybe THAT is my problem.
